This quilt was a vintage family quilt that had been pre-loved very much!  My favorite part were the touches of nail polish near an edge.  I could only imagine the stories!  There were many repairs due to missing batting, squares and some stains.  In the planning process for making her quilt coat, Bree said she really liked shades of purple.  If you look closely, there was no purple in the quilt.  During the repair process, a lot of shade of purple were added so that the addition of a purple binding made color sense to her jacket.  
 
Upon picking up the jacket, Bree's mom said she would like the rest of the queen sized quilt to be used to make 6 stockings made with red piping refelected in the quilt to give to her family.  Don't worry about Christmas secrets, this was for 2024 gifting.  Such a great memory for all of us in the process of making and receiving.
