About
Meet Momo!

Hi, I’m Maureen (but my favorite youngsters call me Momo)! I’m a retired special education teacher, now fully immersed in the world of sewing and quilting. My passion for fabric and design started young, growing up in a large family where I was sewing as soon as I could reach the foot pedal. Over the years, I’ve honed my craft, from reading and altering patterns to turning vintage and family heirlooms into something new and meaningful. These days, I specialize in upcycling quality quilts into one-of-a-kind creations whether it’s a quilt coat, tote, Christmas stocking, or anything else that sparks my creativity. I love bringing new life to old quilts, giving them a fresh purpose that connects the past with the present. Most recently, my sister brought me a collection of quilts from estate sales and antique shops, and I dove into the challenge of transforming them into something special—coats and totes with a story to tell. And I’m lucky to have another sister who’s an expert with a long-arm quilting machine, so we often spend our favorite days creating together. I’d like to acknowledge my long list of those who have supported me on this exciting journey. I treasure my family and friends who laugh with me and spark my creativity. My clients and return clients make me feel so special with the faith you have entrusted in me. Every stitch, every quilt, and every project holds a piece of history whether we use your quilt or one of mine, and I’m thrilled to continue this creative journey with you.
